Yukon gold mining experience

Come Dig It Yourself: 3-Day Yukon Gold Adventure

You ever wanted to stand on a Yukon claim, point at a patch of ground, and say:
“Yeah, that dirt’s mine—dig it”?

We’re making that possible.

Come to the Klondike and Dig Your Own Gold – 3 Days, 1 Square Yard, Zero Bullshit

We’re opening up a small slice of our working ground to a handful of adventurous weirdos who want more than a tourist-pan at a roadside trough. This is not a theme park. This is real bush, real mud, real risk of going home with sore muscles and a silly grin.

For $1,000, you get three days on-site in the Yukon, plus one full square yard of paydirt that you watch us pull straight from the earth.

No salting. No staged “discoveries.”
You stand there, you watch the excavator bucket bite in, and you see exactly where your dirt comes from.

What the Experience Feels Like

You’ll arrive to a rustic camp—think more “old-time mining outpost” than “spa retreat.”
We’re talking:

  • Wall tent or small cabin (depending on availability)
  • Cots, decent sleeping gear, wood stove if the weather calls for it
  • A firepit that’ll see more stories than sleep
  • Coffee that can wake the dead and bacon you can smell from the treeline

Daylight stretches long here in season, so a “day” becomes this blur of digging, joking, swatting bugs, and trying not to burn your toast while staring at the hills.

We’ve got:

  • Dirt bikes / quads for poking around the area (responsibly – no tearing up wetlands)
  • Campfires at night, rich with nonsense, lies, and the occasional true story
  • Weed-friendly vibes if that’s your thing (we’ll happily keep it smoke-free if it’s not – you just say the word)
  • The chance to learn how the gear works: pump noise, sluice tune, cleanup, all of it

If you’ve ever wanted that “18th century gold miner but with slightly better socks” experience, this is as close as we can legally and safely get.

Your Square Yard of Ground

The core of the deal:

  • You pick a spot within a designated area of our cut (we’ll show you the lay of the land, talk geology, share what we think is promising)
  • We mark out one square yard—your little chunk of the Yukon
  • We dig it, carefully, in layers. You watch every shovelful or bucket load.
  • That dirt is either:
    • Run through our small plant with you present for the entire process, and you keep the gold recovered from your yard OR
    • Bagged as paydirt you can take home / ship home and pan at your leisure (or both—some processed, some raw, depending how we set it up)

You’re not buying a guaranteed return. You’re buying a real piece of the gamble.

Maybe your yard is stubborn and stingy, and you walk away with a story and a vial of flour.
Maybe your yard is the one that makes me swear into my coffee for a week.

Either way, it’s authentic.

The Fine Print (In Plain Language)

  • Cost: $1,000 CAD per person for 3 days, including:
    • Lodging at camp (basic but comfortable)
    • Meals (hearty miner food: think stews, bacon, coffee, pancakes, that sort of thing)
    • One square yard of dirt, fully yours
  • Travel to Dawson City / nearest pickup point is on you. We’ll coordinate the rest.
  • We’re not a resort. There’s mud, bugs, outhouses, and the occasional surprising noise in the dark.
  • You need to be reasonably mobile and okay with uneven ground, stepping over hoses, etc.

If you want hotel pillows and turn-down service, stay in town and do a tour.
If you want to stomp around on a real mining claim, smell diesel, and fall asleep with gold dust on your fingers, this is your trip.

PS we’re thinking of starting a GoFundme or Kickstarter campaign to do this all at once… some people will pay $1000 JUST for the square meter of pay dirt and not get the whole “live-adventure” experience of it all.
